Across the entire Rift Zone 27.5 range you can expect a standard 27.5 inch wheel platform for all models.
How much travel does this bike have?
The Rift Zone 27.5 range has 120mm rear travel and 130mm of travel up front.
What riding style is this geometry intended for?
The Rift Zones geometry is best suited for trail riding.
Are the wheels tubeless ready?
The Rift Zones rims are not tubeless ready, although are tubeless compatible and ready to be converted to tubeless.
Are the tyres tubeless ready?
Yes, the Vee Flow Snap tyres on the Rift Zone 1 and 2 and the Maxxis Assegais on the Rift Zone 3 are all tubeless ready.
Are tubeless valves and tape provided with the bike?
No, tubeless valves and sealant will need to be purchased separately.
What groupset is this bike equipped with?
The Rift Zone 1 and 2 both come with a Shimano Deore groupset, the Rift Zone 3 comes equipped with a Deore/SLX groupset.
What brakes is this bike equipped with?
The Rift Zone 1 and 2 both come with Shimano BR-MT201 2 piston hydraulic brakes, the Rift Zone 3 comes with Shimano MT420 4 piston hydraulic brakes.
Does this bike come in any other colours?
The Rift Zone 1 comes in two different colour schemes, unfortunately there is only 1 colour for the Rift Zone 2 and 3.
Does this bike come with any other specs?
No, the Rift Zone 27.5 series does not come in any other spec. IMPORTANT: Sometimes factory will change the spec of the bike to something of similar or better quality, usually without any notice, this is to ensure customers are riding bikes instead of waiting for the correctly spec’d component to become available.
How wide are the handlebars?
The Rift Zone 1,2 and 3's Marin Mini-Riser Alloy handlebars are all standard 780mm wide.
What's the stem length?
You can expect a standard 35mm long stem across the entire Rift Zone 27.5 range.
Does this bike come equipped with a dropper post and what's the travel?
The Rift Zone 1 does not come with a dropper, although you can expect a TranzX 30.9mm dropper post on the Rift Zone 2 and 3 (Size S 125mm Travel, Size M and L 150mm Travel, Size XL 175mm).
Can I install a dropper post on this bike?
Yes, you can install a dropper post on the Rift Zone 1, fortunately the Rift Zone 2 and 3 come equipped with a dropper post straight out of the box.
What's the bikes' frame material?
The Rift Zone 27.5 frames are all 6061 grade hydroformed aluminium.
What's the bikes' wheels’ material and how wide are the rims?
The Rift Zone 27.5's wheels are all double wall alloy and have an internal width of 29mm.
Does this bike come with boost hub spacing?
The Rift Zone 2 and 3 both have boost hubs front and rear, the Rift Zone 1 has boost spacing up front and 141mm rear spacing which can be upgraded to 148x12mm later.
What is the weight of this bike?
The Rift Zone 1 in size medium weighs 14.5KG, Rift Zone 2 in Medium 15.48KG and Rift Zone 3 in medium 14.79KG.
Can I take this bike on downhill trails?
Whilst the Rift Zone range is more suited for trail riding, you can still take this bike on some downhill trails within limits.
Can I take this bike to the bike park?
Yes, you can take any of the Rift Zone's to a bike park, although just like riders, every bike has its limits so make sure you are riding within your skill set and limits.
What size rotors does this bike come equipped with?
The Rift Zone 1 and 2 come with 180mm front and rear centerlock rotors, whereas the Rift Zone 3 comes with 203mm front and 180mm rear centerlock rotors.
What tyres does this bike come equipped with and what size?
The Rift Zone 1 comes with Vee Tire Crown Gem 27.5x2.3", Dual Control Compound, Tubeless Ready, Rift Zone 2 Vee Tire Flow Snap 27.5x2.35", Tackee Compound, Tubeless Ready and Rift Zone 3 Maxxis Assegai, 27.5x2.5", MAXX TERRA, EXO, Tubeless Compatible tyres.
Does this bike come with pedals?
No, none of the Rift Zone range come with pedals, you will need to purchase them separately.
Can I fit a bottle cage in this frame?
Yes, you can fit a bottle cage on any of the Rift Zone models.
How do I set the suspension for my height and weight?
We suggest you set up your suspension in accordance with Marzocchi and Rockshox tuning guides for each individual, personal preference also needs to be considered as everyone likes their suspension slightly different from person to person.
Is a shock pump provided with this bike?
No, a shock pump is not provided with any of our bikes, although you can purchase one separately along with your bike.
What tyre pressure should I run?
Tyre pressures are subjective to each individual rider, we suggest you find a suitable tyre pressure best suited to the terrain you commonly ride.
