Across the entire Alpine Trail range you can expect a standard 29 inch wheel platform for all models.
How much travel does this bike have?
The Alpine Trail range has 150mm rear travel and 160mm travel up front.
What riding style is this geometry intended for?
The Alpine Trail geometry is on trend for modern enduro and downhill style riding, getting the longer, slacker, steeper treatment in the most recent geometry update.
Are the wheels tubeless ready?
Yes, the Marin double wall alloy rims are tubeless ready from factory.
Are the tyres tubeless ready?
Yes, the Vee Flow Snap tyres on the Alpine Trail 7 and the Maxxis Assegais, which you will find on the rest of the Alpine Trail range are tubeless ready.
Are tubeless valves and tape provided with the bike?
No, tubeless valves and sealant will need to be purchased separately.
What groupset is this bike equipped with?
The Alpine Trail 7 and Carbon 1 models come with a 12 speed Deore drivetrain, whereas the Alpine Trail XR and Carbon 2 are a 12 speed mix of Shimano SLX and XT drivetrains.
What brakes is this bike equipped with?
The Alpine Trail 7, XR and Carbon 1 models come with Shimano MT420 4 piston brakes and the Carbon 2 comes with Shimano SLX 4 piston brakes.
Does this bike come in any other colours?
The Alpine Trail range comes in one colour per model.
Does this bike come with any other specs?
No, the Alpine Trail series does not come in any other spec. IMPORTANT: Sometimes factory will change the spec of the bike to something of similar or better quality, usually without any notice, this is to ensure customers are riding bikes instead of waiting for the correctly spec’d component to become available.
How wide are the handlebars?
The Marin mini riser handlebars on the Alpine Trail 7 and Carbon 1 come in at 780mm wide and the Deity Ridgeline handlebars on the XR and Carbon 2 are 800mm wide.
What's the stem length?
The Marin 3D forged stem and the Deity Copperhead stem's across the range are 35mm long.
Does this bike come equipped with a dropper post and what's the travel?
All of the Alpine Trail models come with dropper posts installed, (Small 125mm, Medium/large 150mm and extra large 175mm).
Can I install a dropper post on this bike?
Fortunately all the hard work has been done as the entire Alpine Trail range comes equipped with a dropper post.
What's the bikes' frame material?
The Alpine Trail 7 and XR are 6061 hydroformed alloy frames, the Carbon 1 and 2 models are carbon fiber front triangles and have 6061 hydroformed alloy rear triangles.
What's the bikes' wheels’ material and how wide are the rims?
The Marin Double wall rims are made out of aluminium and have an internal width of 29mm for all Alpine Trail models.
Does this bike come with boost hub spacing?
You can expect a standard boost hub spacing for all Alpine Trail models.

The Alpine Trail 7 in large weighs 16.2KG, Alpine Trail XR 16.6KG, Alpine Trail Carbon 1 15.8KG and Alpine Trail Carbon 2 15.7KG
Can I take this bike on downhill trails?
Absolutely! These heavy hitting enduro bikes will handle anything you throw at them.
Can I take this bike to the bike park?
Yes, you can take any of the Alpine Trail series to your local bike park, although just like riders, every bike has its limits so make sure you are riding within your skill set and limits.
What size rotors does this bike come equipped with?
All of the Alpine Trail models come with 180mm rear rotors and 203mm front rotors, all Shimano centerlock.
What tyres does this bike come equipped with and what size?
The Alpine Trail 7 comes with Vee Flow Snap 29x2.6 inch tubeless ready tyres. The XR, Carbon 1 and 2 models come with Maxxis Assegai 29x2.5", MAXX TERRA, EXO+ TR up front and Maxxis Assegai 29x2.5" MAXX GRIP DoubleDown TR in the rear.
Does this bike come with pedals?
No, the Alpine Trail models do not come with pedals, you will need to purchase them separately.
Can I fit a bottle cage in this frame?
Yes, you can fit a bottle cage on all of the Alpine Trail models.
How do I set the suspension for my height and weight?
We suggest you set up your suspension in accordance with Fox and Rockshox tuning guides for each individual, personal preference also needs to be considered as everyone likes their suspension slightly different from person to person.
Is a shock pump provided with this bike?
No, a shock pump is not provided with any of our bikes, although you can purchase one separately along with your bike.
What tyre pressure should I run?
Tyre pressures are subjective to each individual rider, we suggest you find a suitable tyre pressure best suited to the terrain you commonly ride.
What riding category is this bike intended for?
For the entire Alpine Trail series, in accordance with Polygon's universal classification, these bikes belong to bike class 5. You can read more about the various classifications here.
